“My name is Tania Marta Pezzuolo, I live in Rome and I am a fashion designer focused on experimentation in new materials.
Currently I work with carbon fibers, typically used for aeronautics and automobiles, adapting them for building bags and fashion accessories.
I try to use the material differently, via machines driven by computers and using 3D rapid prototyping printers. It is a constant experiment with new techniques for the use of carbon fibers.
We produce a first prototype with the help of 3D printers and then work with a digitally piloted steel mold. Material woven from carbon fibers is shaped at very high temperatures in an autoclave as though it were plastic. At once rigid, light and durable, this new material offers fashion a new aesthetic and style.”
