100 Colors by Emmanuelle Moureaux

A French architect living in Tokyo since 1996, Emmanuelle Moureaux invented the concept of shikiri, which literally means “dividing space with colors”.

This breathtakingly simple concept infuses a liberating energy, just like the energy that moves and excites us this summer 2018, in a joyful dynamism calling for innovation by vital means.

With her “100 colors” series, a nod to the 100 shades present, she makes color brilliantly vibrate, in magnificent installations of colored paper:
Here, for the 100th anniversary of NSK, her work entitled “sense of motion”, with 25,200 stylised flowers twirling on an aligned grid, totally immersing the viewer.
