Ratti’s creations target a new elegance, steeped in history and contemporary graphics.
For its winter 2019-20 collection, print specialist Ratti freely draws on imagery from an earlier era. Collection head Ines Massi points out that, “These images from the past break with rigid convention, giving off a surge of pure passion and freedom of expression that’s just right for renewal and bold choices.”
The new prints embrace an original kind of elegance. They result from a meticulous examination of the archives, and careful attention to the changing sensibilities of modern life. Fabric choices are becoming crucial. The new movements incorporated in the weaving and printing processes reveal less frenzied fashion, one more focused on nature and its conservation. By playing on the fusion of contrasting influences, the collection presents a broad range of vintage and avant-garde graffiti themes.
In this way, Ratti furthers a know-how built on a mastery of luxury and innovative fabrics, and a solid cultural heritage in printed decoration.
From its base in Como, the company’s production ranges from luxury ready-to-wear to seaside markets, fabric accessories (scarves and ties) and home furnishings products.
