AJ BIAIS: braids, bias and piping, belt increases and other iron-on tape!

AJ BIAIS is an example of a French industrial success based on its century-old know-how and its desire to look to the future.  It is positioned as an essential player in the textile accessories and border market.

The uniqueness of AJ BIAIS is to have a varied and complementary production tool (dyeing, cutting, printing, coating, welding and stitching) that allows it to create, develop and manufacture high quality textile accessories and to provide a perfect finish.

It all began in 1890 with the birth of a ribbon weaving company for the clothing industry: Manufacture JH JABOULEY & Cie.  Over the decades, the activity diversified through many products: braids, bias and piping, belt increases and iron-on tapes.  In 2007, the merger with the Alpha Biais structure marked the emergence of AJ BIAIS, a company based in Saint-Etienne, Cholet and Paris, and also internationally in Portugal, China, Tunisia and Poland.

AJ BIAIS currently has more than 120 employees, 1,500 active customers and approximately 10,000 orders shipped to 40 countries. This represents more than 700,000 metres of strip production per day.
