S/S22 COLOR DECODING: bags & shoes

For the S/S 22 season, colour will be the secret weapon used by labels to create surprise in their collections. These bold and stimulating choices centred around elaborate and stylised chromatic constructions will renew this season’s bag & shoe collections.

Discover our collection of leather and accessories on which to showcase your bag and shoe colour harmonies for next Spring-Summer.

Peaceful pastels

Poetic and endowed with simplicity, this season’s shades aspire to a certain peaceful tranquillity.

On fleshy and springy skins, luminous pale shades offer a transparent iridescence and are enlivened by interferences that capture the light to reveal an agreeable surface halo.

Leathers in a barely pearlized “Digital skin,” whose pronounced grains create a tactile richness, are to be found alongside delicately marbled plastic chains to construct small Baguette bags with a falsely candid appearance.

Vegetable-tanned calf leather makes good use of barely-pigmented whites, such as the shades “Milk” and “Salty,” and advocates a perfect matt finish for bags with simple lines.

Harmonies of soft pastels are overlaid on products by alternating matt and shiny surfaces, and giving a certain roughness to products. Lacquered or varnished leathers combine with bag jewels in porous composites, looking rather like recoloured coral or pumice, to create the minaudières of future summer evenings.

These tender pastels also appear in a harmonious palette. In accessories, chains with a crystalline transparency blend cold light blues like “Poly-periwinkle” with nudes like “Pearl” and are playfully disrupted by a turbulent “Citrine” yellow.  They form brilliant partnerships with powdery matt calf suede, to modernise the iconic items from labels.

Intense colour gradients

Sensual and rich, relaxing or invigorating, this season’s harmonies favour intense colours and have fun with multiple gradients. The influence of red on oranges and pinks infuses the palette of leathers and generates sophisticated combinations.  Smooth shades that blend and melt into one another to accentuate the sensuality emanating from the season’s leathers.

The pile of suede lamb leather, when brushed by the hand, shifts to reveal the colour of oranges that have been barely kissed by the sun. An aspiration to recreate the softness of paintings which is also found in resin accessories, whose fluctuations are revealed by comforting rays of sunshine.

Combined with full grain leathers with perfectly smooth surfaces, these accessories decorate bag & shoe products in a precise tone-on-tone finish and will evoke positive and optimistic energies.

In the palette of cold blue shades, these monochromes project us into dreamlike universes. Simultaneously virtual and relaxing, “Nitrogen mauve” brilliantly enhances the tactile voluptuousness of a suede calf leather, or sublimates the shine of full grain crocodile-style leathers, deliberately producing an artificial appearance.

The diversity of finishes and skins encourages the development of bold textures. Shades of green express a penchant for botanical experimentation.

Exotic prints on patent leathers and resin accessories suggest the vitality of a vigorous sap. Assorted with perfect flat leathers and a refined grain in a synthetic green such as “Ethanol sprout,” they pay tribute to the power of plants. Menthols such as “Dizzy menthol” can be used on exotic leathers, lacquered leather and grained young bull leathers, and bring an invigorating air to the season’s shoes and bags.

Passionate duos

The use of saturated shades also echoes the season’s desire for seduction and intensity.

Flashy duos are slightly provocative and happy to get together in the form of colourblocks or contrasting accessories. The bright orange of “Blazing orange” joins forces with fuchsia pinks such as “Spicy raspberry” to propose bags and shoes with obvious references and a bold femininity.

Colourblocks, on sneakers, for example, provoke explosive but complementary combinations of warm and cold colours. “Nitrogen mauve” and “Frosty lobster” display a clashing hybridization and unapologetically exhibit a new imaginary repertoire.

In more muted tones, voluptuous colours play the card of floral seduction. Lively but elegant sports accessories combine the indulgence of “Candy pink” and “Pulpy green” and expose the venomous charm of a fantastical carnivorous plant, straight out of a new-generation lab.

A halo of luminous and peaceful pastels, duos of seductive and provocative colours or the sensuality of an idealised and harmonious monochrome, the colours of leathers and accessories surprise us with their intensity and enhance the attractive power of the season’s bag & shoe products.
