DRES/SET skilled lines, a fashion seminar by Lucia Rosin – Meidea

Join a fashion seminar dedicated to the season’s silhouettes and outfits: a way to address denim trends with a focus on lifestyles, cuts and shapes, on Tuesday and Wednesday, 3 and 4 December, at 2 pm.

Lucia Rosin from Italy’s creative studio Meidea breaks down Spring Summer 21’s fits and outfits along 7 fit concepts.

DRES/SET skilled lines

Today we’re living in an era of constant acceleration, with significant changes that converge, guiding us towards a new sensibility and awareness. Social transitions, the environmental emergency and our personal desires are transforming how we think and dress. Our feelings are divided between the constant interactivity of life online, and the need for community, experience and manual creativity. The new spring-summer season takes its cues from this transformation, and proves to be dynamic, innovative and full of ideas on how to re-interpret a living material like denim.

UNREFINED

Searching for a nourishing environment in which to live and work, primitive shapes with squared and rounded fits, well-being and rural pursuits, living social experiences in new communities, a compassionate and spiritual aura, a multi-sensorial maturity, with a guiding thread: good clean & fair.

DEFENDER

A rebellious and revised aesthetic, 70’s protest echoes, seeking the right path, consciousness, ethical and responsible, blockchain for real traceability, slogans and handmade writings, iconoclastic spirit, experientialist and open-minded, searching for a new inclusivity.

ULTRAHUMAN

The society of data, interactivity and constant connection, the sharing economy, artificial intelligence and neural creativity, endless evolution, no line between virtual and material things, vivid instagrammable details, a new visual language, 3D-printed clothing and digital manufacturing, a bikers inspiration with functionality and wearable technology, denim speeded up by sport interactions.

LEIXURE

A mix of functionality with high-class elements, the most classical workwear in “cargo luxe” interpretations, tech accessories, lustrous finishings crossed with rigid shapes, a hybrid reinterpretation of work-chic suits, sheen and shimmering films and foil.

NONCHALANT

A new sensuality with slender and loose fits, a lush look and materials, an at-home feeling for indoor & outdoor, an easy-going, confident mindset, a laid-back natural beauty, fabrics that create calm, fluidity and floating, a barefoot mood, pastels and a calming colour palette.

WANDERER

The global nomad, dynamic living, journey treasure-trover, Eastern tastes and inspirations, a mix of folk and bespoke, functional and easily packable, multiculturalism as an opportunity, opening up to new experiences.

About LUCIA ROSIN

Lucia Rosin has been working as a fashion and fabric designer for 30 years, and has been a consultant since 1998. She has been a sustainability enthusiast since the 90’s. In fact, Rosin has pursued an ecological approach in every project since the beginning of her career. Drawing on this vision, she founded the MEIDEA consulting company, a group of professionals who merge the creative dimension with technical knowledge.

A traveller, passionate photographer and collector of vintage items, she merges all these influences in every single project. In 2016, MEIDEA became Meidea ATELIER, moving into a restored former factory building converted into a multifunctional space. Art installations, lectures and workshops merge together with the fashion atelier and the consultancy studio.
