Call for applications: Moving Lace The - Première Vision Paris
LabLace, the creative laboratory of the Caudry Lace Museum, is launching its first international competition.
Sponsored by the Maison On Aura Tout Vu, the aim of the competition is to stimulate creativity and curiosity around Leavers lace. Made according to a unique savoir-faire, this lace is exceptionally fine and transparent. By exploring the potential of this material, candidates are invited to create new avenues of avant-garde innovation, particularly in terms of finishing.
Students and young designers contest
Participants must be over 18 years old, be studying at a fashion or design school or have at least five years’ experience in the field. Applications must be submitted before 28th September.
Each candidate will have to present a collection of 7 outfits and 3 accessories, using a minimum of 1 meter of lace for each outfit.
The winner of the competition will have the chance to present his or her collection in one of the areas of Première Vision Paris in February 2023, in addition to presenting it at the Museum of Lace and Embroidery in Caudry. Finally, the winner will receive €2,500 to work with the lace companies.
