MASTERWORKS, the theme of the Spring-Summer 2028 season, celebrates a fashion approach that embraces creative adaptability and is driven by a mastery of craftsmanship and know-how. In an increasingly volatile world, the constant transformation of our environments and societies is fueling a desire to make choices and to rediscover the pleasure of making. Instability is becoming a space for experimentation, encouraging us to anticipate emerging uses and to prototype the future. As familiar reference points are being redefined, this freedom to explore is also being expressed in color. Shades are moving beyond traditional classifications, while chromatic boundaries are becoming more fluid and harmonies are playing with shifting balances. Between carefully mastered combinations and spontaneous associations, color is exploring more fluid and sensitive perceptions.

Atmospheric Flows

The first line of the SS28 color palette traces atmospheric flows, driven by a desire for lightness and breathing space. Between the organic and digital worlds, blues, greens and purples are creating shifting chromatic landscapes that oscillate between solid, liquid and gaseous states. Shades are diffusing, appearing absorbed or filtered, evoking sensations of suspension and weightlessness.

This new chromatic fluidity has found particular expression in the blue and purple families, where airy, diffused shades are interacting with more assertive pigment intensities. Atmospheric softness and chromatic vibrations are creating new balances, redefining the contours of summer freshness.

Evolution of Blues and Key Colors

Blues: New Intensities and Digital Lightness

For Spring-Summer 2028, blues are assuming a stronger chromatic presence, becoming bolder, more pigmented and less muted. Royal blue is making a comeback, slightly desaturated yet vivid and luminous, while sky blue is gaining depth to carry through the summer, with a balance of freshness and structure. A notable shift this season sees dark blues receding in favor of brighter, airier and more digital-inspired tones.

03 Sonar Blue - New This Season

At the intersection of cumulus-filled skies and digital worlds, a turquoise blue is bringing a fresh dimension to the palette. Softened and slightly desaturated, Sonar Blue oscillates between blue and green, drawing on both oceanic references and digital aesthetics. Within the palette, it acts as a transitional shade, refreshing neutrals, lightening deeper blues and creating more fluid combinations with greens.

For Spring-Summer 28, Première Vision continues its collaboration with Heuritech, a pioneering French company specialising in predictive analytics for fashion, focusing on the key shades of the Première Vision colour palette.

A new arrival this season, Sonar Blue is gaining ground in menswear, particularly in summer pieces, from shorts and tops to more technical silhouettes. Its growing presence, from Brazil to Europe, the United States and especially China, is confirming its emerging potential. A turquoise blue with strong color potential, it can be used as an accent in summer looks or incorporated into a colorful, chic outdoor aesthetic, particularly for parkas and footwear.

Purples: From Atmospheric Softness to Magnetic Intensity

Continuing the direction established in Autumn-Winter 2027-28, purples continue to play a defining role, while taking on renewed chromatic expressions for summer. A luminous, grayish mauve is returning for Spring-Summer 2028, with a lighter, more atmospheric feel. More saturated mauve tones are giving way to a magnetic violet that is vivid, dense and impactful. A whitened, muted violet, carried over from Autumn-Winter 2027-28, is extending the palette’s depth into a softer and more reassuring summer register.

05 Magnetic Violet — New This Season

Magnetic Violet is emerging as one of the season’s new shades: a dense, bluish violet. A contrasting and transitional color, it is bringing wardrobe essentials to life through subtle accents and creating bolder tensions when paired with vivid hues. Around it, grayish violet tones are extending the palette into softer, more muted and atmospheric nuances.

According to Heritech, Magnetic Violet is emerging as a color trend with strong regional potential. While still relatively understated in womenswear globally, it is gaining significant traction in certain markets, particularly India. This momentum is extending to the Middle East, where the color is also showing its potential in menswear. A deep, sensitive and distinctive shade that can refresh color palettes with a more contemporary vibrancy.
