For its September edition, Première Vision is placing innovation and technology at the heart of the show, recognizing them as essential levers for transforming processes and models at every stage of the value chain, at a time when the development of new materials and new performance properties is part of a broader reflection on how products are manufactured, processed, used and tracked through their entire life cycle. Reducing reliance on fossil resources and chemicals, lowering water consumption, advancing circularity, and strengthening physical and digital traceability: these are some of the key areas of innovation to discover this season at Première Vision, reflecting an industry that is seeking to act in a more holistic and coordinated way.
Rethinking Systems from the Outset
This holistic approach begins with raw material production. Regenerative agriculture is one example: holistic and context-specific, it adapts practices to the characteristics of a given territory so as to restore soils, improve water management and support biodiversity, while strengthening the resilience of agricultural systems in the face of climate disruption and increasing resource scarcity. Several Première Vision exhibitors are now offering cotton that is sourced through regenerative approaches, helping agriculture to transition from an extractive model toward a regenerative one.

Regenerative and organic cotton – POSITIVE MATERIALS / regen™ BIO Elastane - Hyosung
In synthetic fibers, Hyosung TNC is also taking a holistic approach with regen™ BIO Elastane, an alternative designed to reduce reliance on fossil resources. Made from sugar cane sourced and traceable through the VIVE agricultural program, which is inspired by regenerative practices, this elastane is based on an integrated approach, extending from renewable resources to yarn, including a regen™ BIO+ version including 70% bio-sourced content.
Reducing the Impact of Processing
Reducing the environmental impact of textile processing now requires action on several fronts: rethinking treatment formulations while also transforming dyeing and finishing processes to reduce substances of concern, water and energy consumption, and reliance on fossil resources.

Pili / ECOHUES™ - Guangdong Exponent Envirotech
Color has proven to be a particularly dynamic field of innovation. Pili, winner of the 2026 ANDAM Special Innovation Prize, produces bio-sourced indigo through fermentation. Compatible with existing dyeing processes, it is designed as an alternative to petrochemical-based indigo and to the aniline used in its conventional synthesis. Sparxell, which can be discovered at Positive Materials, harnesses the organization of cellulose nanocrystals to create colors and shimmering effects without synthetic dyes or plastics. ECOHUES™ acts directly on the process: a recyclable non-aqueous medium replaces water during dyeing, thereby significantly reducing the use of water, dyes and auxiliaries.

H&B Materials / Dimpora
In performance finishing, H&B Materials, a finalist for the 2026 ANDAM Innovation Prize, is developing a new generation of water-repellent treatments that are free from PFAS and silicones and feature a high bio-sourced content. Dimpora offers PFAS-free microporous membranes, including versions with more than 60% bio- sourced content, as well as mono-material constructions designed to facilitate recyclability. French manufacturer Sofileta, with Sofiguard®, is also developing durable protection and water-repellent solutions.
Advancing Textile Circularity
When it comes to circularity, the challenge is now to build real textile-to-textile loops, from collection through to recycled material reintegration. Achieving this requires systems that are capable of processing heterogeneous textile waste streams and complex blends, while balancing material quality, traceability and industrial viability. In Portugal, Circlo works with a network of local partners to mechanically recycle post-industrial cotton waste. Collection, recycling, spinning and production are thus organized within a closely connected industrial ecosystem designed to support a local closed-loop model.

Circlo / Cycora - Youngtex
For polyester, Cycora® offers a fiber produced through chemical textile-to-textile recycling, using pre- and post-consumer waste. Its molecular regeneration process is designed to enable repeated recyclability. The technology can process complex blends while addressing challenges associated with dyes and other contaminants.
Finally, REO-ECO, with its BioCulus™ technology, is developing a textile-to-textile recycling approach based on enzymes that are capable of breaking down polyester waste at the molecular level to produce new material of a quality comparable to virgin material. The company integrates the entire chain, from collection and sorting through to rPET pellets, yarns and fabrics. This end-to-end control makes it possible to combine recycling, material-flow traceability and industrial-scale deployment.
Strengthening Traceability
Digital traceability is increasingly being complemented by technologies that are directly embedded into the material itself. For example, FibreTrace® uses luminescent markers detectable by spectrometry, combined with digital tracking, to authenticate a fiber throughout its transformation, as with Good Earth Cotton® regenerative cotton or eqwools™ wool, available from Innovafil.

Eqwools - Innovafil / Refibertech™ - POSITIVE MATERIALS
In recycling, Refibertech™, with Texloop™, also combines physical and digital traceability to track fiber from the original waste stream through to the finished product and strengthen verification of recycled content.
This convergence between physical materials and digital data is taking on new importance with the preparation of the Digital Product Passport. The challenge is not only to collect and secure information, but also to connect it to the physical product, ensure its reliability and make it accessible and usable throughout the product’s life cycle.
