Preview AH 24-25 Leather: Majestic leathers

For the FW 24-25 season, leather flirts with couture. Polished and refined, it celebrates a certain idea of opulence.

This fantasy offer is part of an eco-responsible approach. Developments in industrial processes now allow highly creative results, with reduced-impact tanning and finishing.

Leather geared to ready-to-wear collections continues to gain ground, with total-look leather silhouettes increasingly present on the catwalks. This use stimulates the creativity of tanners, with a growing range of fine leathers inspired by textile crafts and techniques.

Satin shine

This season embraces a more delicate shine. New lightweight, solvent-free, water-based varnishes give rise to subtle lacquered effects. Reflections are reminiscent of evening-wear silks, such as crisp taffetas, shiny satins, or the changing effects of organzas. Ultra-refined lambskins and glazed calf leathers remain structured, with firm hands perfect for developing garments with impeccable lines.

For long, wide dresses and coats, or a new luxurious take on XXL sportswear.

Subtle metallization

When it comes to metallization, nuance is the name of the game. Micro glitter is applied with a light touch, giving the grain visual and tactile vibrancy. Glitter can also be applied in gradients for a lamé textile effect. Finally, metallization can be used alongside other finishes to create extravagant superimpositions: printed decorations, embossed reliefs, crumpled or wear-and-tear effects… Lavish experimentation whose creativity does not detract from the softness of the hand.

For urban pieces inspired by technical clothing, such as workwear or sportswear. For accessories, such as fully decorated products molded in a single block.

Fluffy shearlings

Sheepskin hides sport a fur-like silkiness and fluffiness. Decorative partial shaving creates patterns or gradient effects.

For winter coats and jackets.

Textile illusion

Beyond its resemblance to couture silk, fancy leather directly looks to textiles. The refinement of leathers designed for apparel allows for quilted or smocked finishes. With their play of prints and embossings, other proposals are veritable optical illusions, emulating the most delicate laces or wools with fancy weaves.

For edgy shirts and jackets, to be worn directly on the skin.

Bag & Shoe leather focus: Decorative associations

Creativity knows no bounds when it comes to thicker leathers destined for shoes and leather goods.

Mechanical finishes are gaining ground as part of a drive to reduce environmental impact. They elevate technical feats such as laser cutting, embossing and perforation to true art. High-precision techniques that, when combined, create exceptional finishes.

Visuals are enhanced by plays on scale, such as XXL weaves that pay homage to craftsmanship.
