Streamline Your Clothing Creation Process with CLO’s Ecosystem
Step 1: Design Garments Quickly and Easily with CLO
With CLO, designers can create lifelike virtual garments, a digital twin of a physical garment as we call it, test their fit and functionality, and visualize them in various virtual environments. Renowned for its realistic simulations of fabrics, draping, and garment movement, CLO helps fashion designers and brands reduce the time and cost of traditional sample-making, while also providing assets for marketing. The creation of 3D garments provides significant benefits in the design phase by enabling various iterations and reducing the time and cost associated with physical sample production. This results in a time-saving, eco-friendly, and sustainable workflow for the fashion industry and beyond. | ©CLO |

Step 2: Achieve a Complete Digital Twin by Managing 3D Components with CLO-SET
©CLO | Achieving a complete digital twin of a garment requires digitalizing not just the garment itself but all its components, such as fabric, zippers, and buttons. CLO-SET offers brands a centralized library to securely store and manage 3D components and all assets that are needed for the garment design process for easy access. It provides direct connections with CLO for seamless integration and efficient design component management. Effortlessly share assets with your team to enhance collaboration and streamline branding. |
Step 3: Easily Digitize Your Fabrics with the All-New CLO zFAB KIT
Before garments can be fully digitalized, it is essential to first digitalize individual components like fabric and trim. While trim digitalization is relatively easier since they are hardware components, and manufacturers often already have CAD files for their designs, fabric digitalization on the other hand has remained challenging due to the physical nature of the material itself. To address this, we developed the all-new and soon-to-be-launched zFAB KIT, a hardware device that can easily measure both the visual and physical properties of fabrics. This innovation will make it significantly easier to create digital twins of fabrics, helping to bridge a major gap in the digitalization process.
With our all-new zFAB KIT soon-to-be-launched, brands and manufacturers can now digitize their fabrics with ease. CLO's zFAB KIT, powered by CLO AI, is designed to drastically streamline the fabric digitization process, enabling fashion brands, vendors, and suppliers to create accurate, high-quality digital representations of fabrics with unprecedented ease and precision. These can then be managed in CLO-SET and added to the 3D library, which will then be used in CLO for the design stage.
By facilitating fabric digitalization, we are working to establish an ecosystem where fashion brands can efficiently access accurate digital assets without duplicating efforts. This will not only save costs but also ensure consistency across the fashion industry, paving the way for a more seamless and scalable implementation of digital twin technology.
Step 4: Seamless Collaboration Between Brands and Vendors through CLO-SET
Effective communication and collaboration between vendors and brands often consume a significant portion of our valuable time. CLO-SET offers an innovative communication tool that allows vendors and buyers to interact directly on 3D designs within a single platform. CLO-SET is a cloud-based communication platform that enables technical designers, pattern makers and entire teams to collaborate easily with the entire clothing-making process through 3D file management, sharing, and real-time communication. CLO-SET allows collaboration across teams ranging from 3D designers to 3D modelers, merchandisers, sourcing, suppliers, and wholesale/retailers. | ©CLO |
It provides features that maximize the value of 3D design, such as virtual showrooms, web techpack, and visual boards. Ultimately, CLO is creating a digital workspace that helps more efficient collaboration by covering the entire process from sample production to actual clothing production by 3D design.
Step 5: Showcase Your Collection to Buyers in an Immersive Environment – Discover our VR Showroom at Première Vision
©CLO | In CLO-SET, you can showcase your collection in an immersive 360° environment with a powerful 3D asset viewer. Provide buyers with an interactive experience, allowing them to explore every detail of your designs in a fully virtual space. From custom 3D layouts to an on-site store, create a stunning 360° backdrop in CLO-SET that perfectly showcases your collection. Add your 3D designs, renders, along with other artworks to build a unique experience. Easily publish your showroom and share it with partners via a simple link, requiring no additional registration. This seamless access allows your brand to showcase collections in an engaging virtual space, enhancing collaboration anytime, anywhere. |
Step 6: Share, Buy, and Sell Digital Garment Assets on CONNECT
Once your digital garment is created, you can use it even further and share it in our open marketplace CONNECT. CONNECT is a marketplace that features design assets and content created in CLO and Marvelous Designer. It serves as both an exchange platform and a global community hub, where designers can showcase portfolios and engage with peers. Both individual CLO users as well as brands and vendors can open stores on CONNECT to exchange original materials, such as fabrics, trims and avatars for virtual fashion design. CONNECT has also onboarded numerous fabric and trim suppliers, enabling them to share and sell their digital assets directly on the platform. | ©CLO |
CONNECT particularly empowers creators to easily distribute their content across various platforms, offering tailored services to optimize compatibility with gaming, the metaverse, and the entertainment industries.
Step 7: Further Animate Digital Garments to Create Engaging Marketing Materials – Discover the Stunning Work by the CLO Creator Collective
Once your digital twin is designed in CLO, the possibilities for creativity are endless. The CLO Creator Collective, a community of fashion design influencers and creators, demonstrates how digital garments can be animated further, allowing for the creation of entire digital worlds. Many plug-ins and strategic partnerships, such as with Epic Games, enable CLO garments to seamlessly integrate into softwares like Unreal Engine. Thanks to advancements in real-time rendering, physics-based fabric simulation, and immersive visualization, Unreal is becoming an essential tool for virtual showrooms, digital prototyping, and interactive retail and marketing experiences. As more brands incorporate Unreal Engine with CLO, we'll notice a smoother connection between design and real-time visualization.
Step 8: Experience Your Digital Garment in the AR World and Have Fun with EveryWear! – Try Out Our AR Mirror at Première Vision
Virtual clothing sales in the metaverse, digital exhibitions, and virtual fittings are just a few examples of how 3D/Digital Product Creation (DPC) can generate new revenue streams and engage your community. After designing your digital garment in CLO, you can create augmented reality (AR) filters for use in Point of Sale, allowing for virtual try-ons of your outfits. Our AR Mirror, developed with EveryWear, is a feature package that optimizes garments made in CLO and Marvelous Designer for digital environments like gaming, the metaverse, and entertainment.
