Tropical, ethnic, Bohemian… this S/S19 season the Designs studios created inspiring print collections to appeal to swimsuit experts.
Before meeting them next February, get the news from 3 studios, who talked to us about their designs.

Founders Silvia and Juanma settled their studio in Barcelona’s old textile neighborhood in 2013.

Fennec’s designs are the expression of the personal background and roots of the owners, mixing influences from their birthplaces, Madrid and Barcelona.

Surrounded by a small team of fine-art graduates, they combine hand-drawn designs with  digital techniques. The studio is specialised in swimwear design,  following the extensive experience of the creative duo in this field.

Prints are fresh and airy, strongly influenced by the Mediterranean culture. Visitors can expect bright colours, funky elements, ethnic looks and a sophisticated and pale simplicity  in patterns in several colourways and sizes for surface designs and lingerie.

For summer 19, a wide offer of realistic tropical leaves, echoes from Central America fabrics, retro Hawaii looks, 80’s abstracts and conversational elements for menswear and surfaces will be presented.

Pour le S/S 19, Karolina York’s key SS19 trends begin with a bohemian adventure to the Polynesian Islands, paying homage to native crafts and decorative motifs.

With a nod to the 80’s, carefully curated collages influence surface patterns, using electrically-charged colour palettes to explore their artistic expressions.

Their love for vintage sees their designers experimenting with detailed borders and scarf prints, showcasing an eclectic collection of beautiful summer scarves.

Their new collection is a combination of a variety of styles. This season they are presenting the Patch Mix SS 19 Collection, inspired by patchwork fabrics and prints that they have seen on the runways. It is an extensive collection that crosses several decades and places, embracing a variety of aesthetic styles. The word here is « mixture »: a mixture of classics, ethnic elements, delicate and heavy florals and new skins that all share the same composition.
