Bravo Tom Van Der Borght!

Belgian designer Tom Van Der Borght took home the Grand Prix du Jury Première Vision at the Hyères International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Fashion Accessories in the fashion category, along with the special Prix du Public from the city of Hyères.

The fashion jury , headed up by British designer Jonathan Anderson, honored both creativity and eco-responsibility this past Sunday 18 October. This edition marked the 35th edition of the Festival at the Villa Noailles, resulting in an emotionally-charged and very special celebration, representing a powerful signal for the industry.

The event provided the opportunity to celebrate 35 years of passion, creativity and infectious energy conveyed by Jean Pierre Blanc and his team.

For his collection, Tom Van Der Borght collaborated with the following Première Vision Paris exhibitors: AMB Factory Ecopel, Dani Frizza, Hurel, Ictyos, L&T Caps, Luxury Jersey, Mackent Group, Manifattura Di Domodossola, M.I.T.I., Ventures.

The strikingly colorful collection combined materials that were both recycled and sourced from Première Vision Paris producers, including fish leathers, lace and embroidery.

This is the 9th consecutive year that Première Vision, which has partnered with the Festival since 2011, has been involved with the Grand Prix du Jury, supporting the finalists in the development and production of their collections.

The winner of the Grand Prix du Jury Première Vision receives:

– a 20,000 euro grant for their creations, awarded by Première Vision, and a special exposure at a Première Vision Paris event.

– a collaborative project with the Métiers d’art de CHANEL, in the amount of 20,000 euros
