Kano-ko, Weaving Under Skin

Specialized in weaving, and guardians of this tradition for over a century, Kano-ko is a Japanese company established in Nishijin, in the historic textile district of Kyoto. Coming from a culture of traditional techniques producing satin and twill – always applied to refined materials, for which Kano-ko possesses a special know-how – the workshop is currently developing expertise with leather, silk and gold thread in widths of 30 or 90 centimeters.
Moved by a profound respect for the human and cultural values of work, Kano-ko transmits a taste for excellence and innovation to its employees so that every generation may discover new applications for these traditional textile know-how.
From February 16-18, 2016, Kano-ko participates in Maison d’Exceptions, the space at Première Vision dedicated to haute création.
