“Know-how are essential to me. Naturally, the most important values are the respect of human beings and the environment. But there is also the support of specific know-how in textile, which are disappearing throughout the world due to the globalization, even though they provide some work to a lot of communities, mostly to women who need them to survive and pass on their skills to the next generations.
In my opinion, these know-how are coveted again by fashion designers who are keen on employing them because they offer something specific, something different that will distinguish a garment or accessory from another one. That is for me the beauty of the handmade.”
