Isabelle Léourier

Milliner for over twenty years, Isabelle Léourier has worked with various materials – crinolines, silks, ribbons, piano string, tulles, pearls and sequins – experimenting along the train of her imagination. From the early days of her atelier she has been collaborating with Parisian fashion houses for both Couture and ready-to-wear runway presentations.
Her accessories – jewelry or head-ornaments – take flight, telling fantastical stories in which women are the heroines. They come from an expertly orchestrated overflow, where the sense of movement meets a sense of equilibrium. Carrying a trace of Léourier’s taste for couture and attraction to dance and sculpture, they express an endless marveling before the enigma of a fold, the surprise of a shimmer or a the novelty of a weave.
From February 18-20, 2014, Isabelle Léourier participates in Maison d’Exceptions, the space at Première Vision dedicated to haute création.
