Cécile Feilchenfeldt, knitter and textile designer at the Maison d'Exceptions show

(English subtitles available)
“I love knitting because everything is held by a single thread, and that’s the big difference between knitting and weaving. Weaving involves thousands of threads to produce a fabric, while a knit is made of a single thread. I try to “talk” with the threads to understand their character, then I try to handle them without forcing. To work them you really need to understand their character, otherwise it’s useless.”
