Cécile Feilchenfeldt, knitted variations

The expertise of Cécile Feilchenfeldt lies primarily in combining traditional knit techniques with new fibers to create unexpected and sometimes even playful effects.
Experimentation with and combination of luxurious and raw materials is the foundation of the creativity of her atelier. Whether with wool, cashmere, mohair, cotton, raffia, paper, metal or nylon, she allows the thread to express itself and her work is nourished by the declination and variations that solicit the analysis and observation of chance.
For fifteen years, her expression has been found in an attention to the proportion of volumes and to the movements created by materials. From double-facing to three-dimensional volumes and pleating, the variety of very personal techniques employed by Cécile Feilchenfeldt allow her to obtain effects of transparency and lightness, rigidity and softness.
From February 16-18, 2016, Cécile Feilchenfeldt participates in Maison d’Exceptions, the space at Première Vision dedicated to haute création.
