Decoration highlights from the design studios at Première Vision Designs, with key developments in pattern and prints for dressy and everyday fashions.
[one_third][/one_third][two_third_last]Designers’ inspirations are deeply tied to natural and earthly yearnings. A pronounced mineral quality cuts across all of the season’s activity sectors. The brutality of matter, the idea of perfected irregularity seduce and captivate. Nature envelops motifs in dark and luminous flowers and foliage. Patterns are borne off by a colorful wave of nebulous patterns. They draw on familiar visuals, appropriating them and giving them an offbeat twist in mysterious and dreamlike worlds.[/two_third_last]
Accumulated rocks and pebbles, a collection evoking a cabinet of mineral curiosities like an archaeological exploration of modern times. Textures are redrawn, matter reworked in water-colored, penciled and digitized versions. Small figurative patterns, mostly in all-over, experiment with closely-set and orderly placements, or appear to float in space. A quest to embellish the natural elements that surround us. The accent is on cracks, and colored irregular edges.<iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/456163766″ width=”960″ height=”540″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay; fullscreen” allowfullscreen></iframe>Exhibitors: Akiko Kayano, Bla&co, Florinda Sandri, Studio Albertus, Kunjut, Alio Design, Myriam De Faÿ, Design39.
A mysterious-looking nature proliferates throughout this season’s designs. Darkened backgrounds; a deep dive into a transformed nature invaded by scientific and synthetic plants and flowers and lit up by bright, grating multicolored hues. Giant, outlined plants, blurry-looking palm leaves, mushrooms with a hallucinogenic feel, intermingled ferns that look like they’re moving. Organic forms grow on the surface of some leaves, lending them a runny, almost malleable look. Strange flora, at once wonderful and disturbing, worked in graphic treatments with fine and colorful lines.<iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/456104808″ width=”960″ height=”540″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay; fullscreen” allowfullscreen></iframe>Exhibitors: Design39, Bla&co, Alio Design, Girlgang, Kunjut, Atelier Natanski Paris, Studio Paristanbul.
A sweet universe in a deceptively innocent vein infuses patterns with a vaporous softness. Airbrushed visuals, a breathy micro pointillism that detaches itself from the background. The idea of movement is conveyed in patterns without neat borders, with faded color effects that slip away, escape and blur. A dreamy ambiance calling on a light and volatile imaginary world. Colored neutrals with a harmonic interplay of the same tonalities on pastel grounds, woken up by luminous accents on deep dark grounds. Joining forces with a notion of randomness, to create subtly controlled motifs with impalpable contours.<iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/456103022″ width=”960″ height=”540″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay; fullscreen” allowfullscreen></iframe>Exhibitors: Alio Design, Myriam De Faÿ, Studio Albertus, Lilica Textile Paris, Atelier Natanski Paris, Design39.
