Italian weaver Carlo Pozzi
With an emphasis on gold, silver, bronze and ivory, Carlo Pozzi goes all in on sparkle and metallic shine. A baroque elegance expressed in cut-yarn fringes evoking the Roaring Twenties. The technique is also found, in the same lamé nuances, on transparent gauze panels enriched by motifs with macro dots, or exotic vegetal fantasies. Transparency and lightness are the basis of a series of translucent panels decorated by a pattern with cascading simplified shapes – a go-everywhere motif that changes both appearance and register when used on a double-face polyester fabric, for a scuba effect in a sophisticated cocktail version
Carlo Pozzi will participate to Première Vision Fabrics, 15-17 September.
