So I spent 18 months in the factory, learning how to make ribbons, before leaving for Germany to lead the sales office. This experience is invaluable. I think today, the most important thing for someone in sales is to know that even last minute orders will be fulfilled, either because the plant is highly reactive, or because there are large stocks; in both cases, that is the strength of Shindo. Backed by the fact, of course, that the quality of our products is recognized everywhere. For a manufacturer like ourselves, creativity is crucial. The worst that could happen to me? To hear a customer say about Shindo: ‘they always make the same thing’. We need to create and adapt, all the time, everywhere. Like 2 or 3 years ago, while we were mounting the show, and our delivery didn’t arrive the day of our set-up! The whole team was there at 6 am the next morning, and at 9 am, we were ready.
