CONFERENCE WEARABLE LAB
TECHNOLOGIES, START UPS & FASHION BRANDS: WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?
After a collaboration with the R3iLab program (Network for Non-physical Innovation in Industry) in September 2015 and the creation of the Accessology space in February 2016, Première Vision Paris launched its Wearable Lab platform last February.
This platform is dedicated to invention and forward-thinking to examine and support the future of Fashion Tech (the “augmented” fashion of technologies).
Presented in February 2017 in the form of a physical area, the intention is to give The Wearable Lab a new expression each year at Première Vision Paris. This September it will take the form of a round table featuring experts on the subject.
While start-ups have moved strongly into the Wearable and Fashion Tech fields, they often have difficulty emerging due to their small size and lack of funds.
For their part, the major fashion brands are taking an ever growing interest in this field, which is a hotbed of innovation.
The aim of the conference is to explore potential synergies between start-ups and fashion brands, to play a part in the growth and success of this new territory intersecting Fashion & Technologies that is Fashion Tech.
Liz Bacelar (Decoded Fashion), Kelly Krause (SXSW Interactive), Marie Liétard-Montigny, Business Development & PR manager (PYRATES smart fabrics), Jan Zimmermann (Forster Rohner Textile Innovation).
