Sport is in fashion, and designers are snapping up its stylistic codes. Today, technical fabrics are revving-up ready to wear. For spring summer 16, following in the footsteps of scubas and neoprenes, swimwear is making its own contribution to this fashion undercurrent. Casual and feminine knits are inspired by swim caps, playing on fresh and playful textures. Suitings and cottons reference the two-way stretch of body-hugging swimsuits with their soft and markedly flexible density. This season, swimwear specialists are notching up the fashion connections, proposing deliciously tasty handles, colourways and decoration. In this sector, added-value isn’t just about surface appeal: fabrics for swimwear are also highly technical and extra stretchy. They are designed to dry fast and stand up to chlorine and even UV rays.
