STYLE FOCUS 30.03.2017 / Style Focus
A season with generous volumes, to fully express either the suppleness or crunchiness of fabrics. Fabrics are less determinant in defining the boundaries of men’s and women’s clothing: fluidity is the new word for comfort, and a tailoring spirit strengthens its presence in both markets. Decoration and colour are freely rolled out. Occasional hints of an ’80s influence emerge this season.
AIR BETWEEN BODY AND CLOTHING*
Paperbag-waist pants, with maxi-volume and light crunch. A fine summer coat like a light duster.
The crunchy, light, full dress with the look and detailing of a windbreaker. Chic sporty spirit for finishings and accessories.
The evening dress with a high-noon energy, maxi loose volumes worked semi-transparently, sparkling decoration, youthful freshness. Playful jewellery, shoes and leather goods, in plastic or plexiglass.
SLEEVE AND SHOULDER FOCUS*
Mixing girly, feminine blouses with full-on boys’ jeans. Fancy and imaginative sleeves and shoulders. Romantic ribbons and finishings, or worn jeanswear trims.
Nonchalant, too-long and too-wide sleeves to give a swagger to sweatshirts. A sexy-cool no-gender allure. Labels and badges positioned like decoration. Vegetal and greased leathers for sturdy sandals.
A LOOSE DECONSTRUCTED CHIC*
Unlined kimono coats, fluid shirts and supple pants in artificial blends. Novel fastenings, ties and ribbons.
A silhouette with a mix of sturdy and supple. A pared-down utilitarian style teamed with more relaxed, casual pieces. Lambskin for soft and luxurious leathergoods.
Menswear that breaks the rules. Classic city trousers with a windbreaker-style shirt/jacket live together in stylish harmony. Accessories and components draw from both universes.
The linen suit shed of superfluous details. Knee-length pant and collarless jacket. Refined fabrics give this minimalism a sensual side. High-design and natural materials for accessories and components.
A PINCH OF THE 80’s*
The sexy mid-length dress for an ultra-chic look with a whiff of the ’80s. Nipped-in waist and high-glam fluidity. Bodice belts in precious exotic leathers.
From beach to city, short and bouncy bubble cuts, bloomers, turned-under hems and balloon sleeves, all sprightly and fresh.
