Updating Winter 17/18 Fabric highlights 21.12.2016 / Updates - Buyers' confirmations
An elegant nonchalance
An enveloping fullness with supple and dense, full lively fabrics that enrobe without stiffness or rigidity.
Elongated and full coats that are warm even though exceptionally light, thanks to slimmed-down and very supple woollens and double faces, to wrap up in softness. Enlarged fantasy, with maxi windowpane checks, macro bouclé or flecked wools.
Jackets, pants and skirts
Cuts borrowed from men’s wardrobes, with subtly recolored suitings, for full jackets and loose blousons in silky versions. Plenty of suppleness, springy and full wool-viscose crepes, for wide and fluid pants.
Dresses and tops
Long and soft dresses, in knits as well as washed silks. Jumpsuits continue to present a nice alternative, in fluid plain or printed crepes. Choices for tops tend more to shirts than t-shirts, often preferred with ruffled or gathered details.
It’s a season to wrap up in softness, with runny and silky knits, perfect for long dresses, and skinny sweaters in turtleneck versions. Ultra-cosy knits, velvety and warm for wide volumes, and thrown fleeces with a wool aspect.
New twist to everyday
Combining street codes with a casually chic touch. Fabrics with a surprising look and feel, full-on shine, and sharp cuts.
An appetite for fantasy outer-garments; coats in ornamental jacquards, with a subtle shine; decoration and embroidery, and even leather aspects: supple and lustrous, or patent leathers. Volumes are exaggerated with enlarged squares and must-have puffer coats – wholly light and XXL.
Jackets, skirts and pants
A striving for sophistication, via volumes as well as fabrics: Jackets with marked shoulders, structured jeans, shortened pants. Velvet abounds, and is preferred smooth and fanciful rather than in corduroy versions. Denims are clean and suppler, without any lacerations.
Robes et Hauts
A focus on subtle metallic shine, to wear everyday. Plain or printed panne velvets, even for simple or strappy dresses, with a mirror-like shine, or fine lace details.
A passion for maxi-structure and fancy-yarn knits. New decorative effects, intarsias and appliqués give a new zest zip to sweatshirts, which stand out in ultra-long versions.
